My philosophy is that every celebration is unique because every couple is unique
Entertaining is in my blood. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, I grew up in a house where dinner parties were always taking place. Because my parents loved entertaining, there was usually a fun event going on at our home and I quickly learned how much I enjoyed every aspect of hosting a memorable occasion. After graduating from Miami of Ohio, I earned my certificate in Meeting and Event Planning.
In 2011, I moved to the Vail Valley to pursue my career in event planning. Through my diverse experience in venue management, luxury hotels, and as a planner, I have helped clients from all over the world with a multitude of events. Determined to ensure each client’s vision comes to fruition, I started Events By Marguerite in June 2018.
From intimate events celebrating 2 people to extravagant affairs with 200 guests, I know what it takes to elevate your special day from ordinary to extraordinary. I offer extensive experience with event logistics in the Rocky Mountains: I have witness magical sunset that must be captured immediately, mitigated the lack of cell phone service and internet, and streamlined the logistics of transporting guests up gondolas and through dirt roads, to name a few. What sets me apart from other planners is my solution-oriented attitude and ability to tackle any obstacles that arise throughout the planning process and on the big day.
My flexibility, honesty, positive outlook, and elevated sense of style result in client referrals and rave reviews. I love getting to know my clients professionally and personally and enjoy spending time with them. My clients become friends which exemplifies the fun, vibrant personality that has led to long-lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and fellow event professionals.
When I’m not event planning, I can be found enjoying nature and all that Colorado (and the world) has to offer. I reside in Edwards, right outside of Vail and Beaver Creek, with my husband Sammy and our son Wyatt – whose first ever wedding was at Piney River Ranch! I enjoy hiking, skiing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with my family which also includes a small army of animals.
